In today’s interview post we have a digital marketer turned blogger from Pakistan whom in his own words was not a writer but his cosistent efforts in the digital marketing field compelled him to become a greate digital marketer as well as a writer. Thank you very much Ali Raza for the support  you provided for publishing this inspiring interview that will motivate many other bloggers and digital marketers to be more consistent in their approach.

Reji Stephenson:- You are a famous blogger but may be a few of my blog readers might not know you fully. So please tell us about yourself and set the chat roll in.

Ali Raza:- I’m not a blogger I’m a digital marketer and a business person who eventually turned into a digital marketing blogger. I still have some offline business’s and an online Google Partner Digital Agency.

Reji Stephenson:- Your blogging journey is full of struggle and onward success. How do you define it? I mean did you face a lot of hurdles or commit mistakes more or it’s a mix of several do’s and dont’s?

Ali Raza:-I will start with the line, I was not a blogger, since I hated writing. Let me tell you a secret, and I still laugh when I see my first article. Over the years, what I have learned is that ‘consistency’ is what which took me to the success.
My article writing significantly improved, I was still writing even when my audience was too small, I learned the art of socialising and networking with other bloggers which helped me to outreach further, all the credit goes to being consistent.

If two things I have to tell your audience, if they ever want to achieve something in their life, they are

1. Consistency

2. Willingness to admit your mistakes and learn from them.
The art of accepting yourself when you are wrong and that too when you are the judge of your own accountability, can do wonders. And If you are consistent with whatever you are doing, trust me, one day even sky won’t be the limit.

Reji Stephenson:- Your secrets of success must be more than many, but obviously, a few of them must have worked as a catalyst to take you to that much fame and greatness. Would you share a few of your secrets of success that are not much bookish and are so practical?

I learn so much from my competitors, if they are successful, that means due to a reason, I figured that out and added those skills/things in my strategies. Still, I believe there is room for improvement. I will credit my success to my competitors and my mistakes which helped me to know where I’m wrong and what needs to be done to make things right.

Reji Stephenson:- Walk me through the step-by-step process that you went through to get to where you are today. What was the first thing you did? Next?

Ali Raza:-There is no step by step process, even if you create one, you may often have to change it since there will be a lot of surprises, unexpected events in your journey.First thing I did was, when I started the blog, I asked myself, why? Why do you want to start the blog? But starting isn’t a big deal, anyone can start it, but the people who are successful are those who were consistent enough with what they are doing. When you are consistent, you constantly try to evaluate yourself with others and see every aspect of your strategy and compare it with others and that’s how you get successful, at least this is what I believe.

Reji Stephenson:- Who are your biggest influences? Who do you admire most? Who or what inspired you to do what you’re doing now?

Ali Raza:-There are many people whom I consider being my ideal, to start with my dad, the next one is Matthew Wood Ward, one of the very successful Internet marketing blogger, next comes Abdul Wali who don’t have a formal education yet still he is one of the finest teachers at Udemy and the next comes Harsh Agrawal. How I can forget shoutmeloud.com journey to success whenever I want to discuss blogging? 

Reji Stephenson:- What do you think is the best strategy that worked well for you to get more traffic to your blog?

Ali Raza:-There is no single best strategy. Everything is linked to each other in one way of the other.

  1. Consistency
  2. Networking with other bloggers, sharing there post and they will share yours.
  3. SEO
  4. Influencer Marketing

Reji Stephenson:- How do you structure your days?

Ali Raza:-On the days when I don’t have any surprises, I prefer to wake up early, have a breakfast and then planning up my whole day while checking my emails. However, I am running an offline business as well and my day to day routine fluctuates with meetings and other affairs.

Reji Stephenson:- What tools do you find indispensable for accomplishing [task]? What would you have done differently if you knew then what you know now?

Ali Raza:-Everything happens for good, If I came to know about a product, skill, knowledge or a tool later, I’m still happy because God has made a better plan for me this way.So I will look into the positive aspect of it instead of considering it negatively by thinking ‘If I knew then what I know now.’I’m thankful to the God because I consider myself blessed with what I have and I have no regrets. As far as the tools are concerned, for blogging ideas, I use notepad on my iPhone which automatically update that data on my MacBook notes. I love this feature of apple.I’m a marketer, can’t live without evaluation and comparison. SEMRush is the second most used tool.TODOIST is also a good tool since I can write down my tasks here and can share and synchronise with my team, when required.
