  • First, you will need to know who your best clients are and
  • Second, implement the best ways to make your SMS marketing strategy a hit.

If you want your business to grow then you will need to make more sales. If you want to increase your sales you will have to make your marketing efforts and strategies a hit. If you want that then you will have to focus on your best clients. To ensure this you will need two things:

Ideally, the best clients or customers for your business will include the customers who fulfill one or all of these following criteria:

  • They must be loyal to your brand
  • They must buy regularly from you
  • They must be the ones who give you feedbacks about your product on a regular basis and
  • They must be the ones who promote your brand to their family and friends.

In order to ensure that you follow a smart business strategy you must first identify this specific group of customers whom you can readily and reasonably term as your business influencers.

To ensure you find the right influencers you will have to dedicate a little more time and resources. When you find them you will be able to use them and their knowledge in several different ways to your advantage.

  • Since they know and love your product and brand, you can send them more in-depth questions for polling rather than sending them the bulk SMSs that you send to your general clients using a mass text app.
  • You must also reward them for their dedication to wards your company and time and effort given for such business promotion purpose with extra benefits and special offers and discounts.

Remember, they are the VIPs of your company and therefore they deserve to be treated like a VIP.

Designing your messages

This is the next important thing to consider making your SMS marketing campaign a hit. It is of no use and will be a waste of money and time if you send messages that contains vague terms, no meaning or difficult to understand content. Therefore, make sure you implement these factors and features in your message creation:

  • All caps may look prominent but a full message in all caps is less appealing and understandable, therefore, avoid it. Choose legible font style and size to write your message.
  • Make sure that the message is brief, precise and clear with no elements in it that will distract the reader or make things difficult to understand such as an uncommon abbreviation.
  • Never create any open ended messages that may invite customers to a sale but does not mention anything regarding when such sale ends.

You must make sure that the message and the ideas are delivered in quick time and therefore incorporate items in your text that are most important such as the date when the sale ends, the date of expiration of a coupon, or specific incentive.

Winning call to action strategies

The call to action button is the most significant thing in a message that can make it a hit or a flop show. If your call-to-action button is strong and motivating it will increase customer engagement with the marketing texts of your SMSs. A winning Call to Action is useful in many ways as it will help the customers in many ways such as:

  • Get and stay engaged
  • Value the marketing texts you have sent
  • Read it
  • Interact with it and eventually
  • Act on it just as you desire.

Easier said than done, if you want to create a winning call to action then here are a few things that you should consider and keep in your mind while creating your messages:

  • Showing text button: You can ask customers to show a specific text and earn a handsome discount. This is a clear and most effective way to get your customers engaged with your promotion.
  • Click here button: This is the most common call to actionbutton but is most effective as well, especially when you do not have enough space in the SMS message to input a large text with all info needed by the customer. Make sure that these link to the info page or to the map of your shop or to the video about any special event or simply take them to your official website to know about all the necessary details.
  • Text to win button: You can hold a contest among the customers to grow their interest in giving it a try to win prizes from your company. When they text in to enter into the contest, it will automatically raise the engagement of the customers. This is ideally the best way to remind your customers about your existence as well as increase your traffic and sales prospects, especially when you are not hosting any event or offering a sale.
  • Text to vote button: Much similar to the text to win button, this specific call to action will also engage your customers in a mobile polling. This will in turn help you to find out how well your company is performing in terms of product quality, customer service and satisfaction, pricing policy and much more.
  • Buy now button: This is another common call to action buttons mostly used by the businesses that deals with product selling. This is also the most perfect CTA button that you can use for your targeted messages for specific customers of whom you know to be buying your product routinely. The buy now button for a certain product sent along with the text message for promoting that particular product will make it easier for the customer to make a purchase decision.

Therefore, when you focus on your best and most loyal clients and use the best tactics to engage them and make them interact, you will surely get the best results from your SMS marketing campaign. All it needs is a careful planning and a strategic approach and a little bit of time and effort to put in.
