If you are building a new PC for the very first time, the process may be both enjoyable and intimidating. Even if you encounter some difficulties, it is usually worthwhile for the satisfaction of turning it on for the first time and knowing you have a faster (hopefully) better experience ahead of you. Then there is the realization that you still need to install an operating system, such as Windows 11.
Fortunately, installing Windows 11 is the simplest aspect of configuring a new PC. This is because this stage does not involve any sophisticated assembly. It is as simple as following the onscreen directions. As long as you’re equipped with the necessary tools and follow the instructions below, you will be up and running in no time. Just keep in mind that the installation process may take some time.
How to Install Windows 11 From USB Flash Drive?
If you want to learn how to install Windows 11 on a new PC using simply a USB flash drive, do not give up. Read on to discover how to install Windows 11 from a bootable USB or a Windows 11 ISO file utilizing the media creation tool. To install Windows 11, you will need four things:
- An Internet connection.
- An empty USB flash disk with at least 8 GB of space.
- A third-party tool, such as Rufus or something similar, is optional.
- Check if you don’t Disable USB Port on your computer.
Creating Installation Media
If you meet all of the above requirements, you may begin by preparing installation disks for your new PC. To avoid errors, we recommend starting with an empty USB drive and unplugging everything except the one you intend to use for the operating system.
- On your functional (spare) computer, navigate to the Windows 11 download page and search for the Create Windows 11 Installation Media option. Click the Download Now option that appears underneath it.
- Once the file has finished downloading, launch it and select Accept.
- You will be asked what language you want Windows 11 to be in. By default, it will match your existing system, but you can modify it if necessary. Click Next.
- Installation media can be either an ISO file or a flash drive, but only the flash drive will operate on a fresh PC. Choose USB flash drive and click Next.
- You will get a list of all USB drives that are linked to your PC. Select the appropriate drive and click.
Windows 11 starts downloading, and the operating system files will be moved to your flash drive. Once completed, your flash drive will be available to use as installation media.
Installing Windows 11 on your PC
Once you’ve got the installation CD ready, you can install Windows 11 on your new PC (which does not yet have an operating system). Here’s what you should do.
- Plug a USB drive into the computer on which you wish to install Windows 11, and turn it on.
- Because there is no boot disk installed on the PC yet, it will boot from your USB flash drive by default.
You might have to press Esc, F11, F1, or F12 at startup to access the BIOS settings if it does not boot from the USB. You will see a list of available boot drives if your motherboard includes a boot menu; you should choose your selected boot drive. flash drive. Otherwise, go to the BIOS to the boot settings and place the flash drive at the top of the list of bootable devices.

- If you did not provide a product key, you will be prompted to select the edition of Windows 11 that you wish to install. Choose an edition that corresponds to the product key you intend to use. If not, you might not be able to turn it on later. Click Next.
- Accept the licensing agreement.
- In the following screen, select Custom: Install Windows only (advanced).
- You should see a selection of drives on your PC, and you can select where to install Windows 11. You can also make numerous partitions if you want, but otherwise, just select the drive and click Next.
- Windows 11 will now begin installing; simply wait till it is finished.
Once installed, you will be guided through the Windows 11 out-of-the-box experience (OOBE). This is similar to what you would see on a brand-new laptop or after resetting a PC, and it should be very straightforward.
